About CEPN
Clean Electronics Production Network
The Toward Zero Exposure program was developed by the members and advisors of the Clean Electronics Production Network.
CEPN, a collaborative multi-stakeholder innovation network launched in 2016 by the Center for Sustainability Solutions at Green America, addresses complex workplace health and safety challenges in the electronics supply chain, with the goal to:
Move toward zero exposure of workers to toxic chemicals in electronics manufacturing.
CEPN Members
CEPN comprises more than 20 member organizations including electronics brands and suppliers, environmental NGOs, labor and worker representatives, ecolabels and representatives from academia and government agencies.
Technical Review Board
The Technical Review Board comprises technical experts and select CEPN members including brands, suppliers, certifiers and NGOs. The board’s primary responsibility is to provide recommendations on the selection of process chemicals for elimination or substitution with safer alternatives.
NGO Advisors
CEPN receives valuable insights from a collection of global worker and labor rights advocates. These organizations and individuals contribute insights from their direct engagement with workers and observation of working conditions in electronics manufacturing.
Contact
CEPN welcomes and encourages feedback on the program from participants as well as interested stakeholders. Program revisions will include a public comment period. If you would like updates, including notifications of public comment periods, please subscribe to our newsletter.
